Add a powerful message of generosity to your collection with the UNC 2020 $1 Donation Dollar Australia’s first full-colour circulating $1 coin, struck by the Royal Australian Mint.

Created as a world-first “donate to charity” circulating coin, the Donation Dollar is legal tender and can be spent like any other $1. But its true purpose is to act as a constant reminder to give back – whenever you find one in your change, you’re encouraged to “give to help others”.

Design & symbolism

Reverse: Features a striking green concentric-ring design at the center of the coin, surrounded by the wording “DONATION DOLLAR” and the call-to-action “GIVE TO HELP OTHERS”.

The green centre against the golden aluminun-bronze background reflects Australia’s national colours, chosen to inspire national pride, unity and generosity.

Obverse: Standard 6th portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, with denomination “1 DOLLAR” and the 2020 date.

This listing is for a coin in Uncirculated (UNC) condition, ideal for collectors who want an example as close as possible to “as struck” quality without the heavy bag marks and wear seen on circulation-found pieces.
