Complete The Perth Mint’s distinctive Australian Map-Shaped Coin Series with the 2016 Dingo $1 Silver Coin.
Struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver, this uniquely shaped Australian legal-tender coin features a coloured depiction of a dingo standing before a rocky outcrop in the Australian desert.
The reverse also includes the inscription DINGO, The Perth Mint’s traditional “P” mintmark and the 2016 year date. The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Dingo was the tenth and final release in the Australian Map-Shaped Coin Series, making it especially desirable for collectors completing the full collection.
Although the maximum advertised mintage was 6,000, The Perth Mint’s official figures record a much lower declared mintage of only 2,612 coins.
