2016 0.804oz Silver Battle For Lone Pine - Mintage: 5,000

Issued by the Solomon Islands and struck by The Perth Mint as part of the First World War Centenary series, the reverse presents a colourised Battle for Lone Pine scene accompanied by the inscriptions “First World War Centenary” and “1915 Battle for Lone Pine.” The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.

The coin was struck to proof quality from 25 grams of 92.5% sterling silver, equivalent to 0.804 troy ounces in total weight and approximately 0.743 troy ounces of pure silver. Measuring 40mm in diameter and limited to only 5,000 coins worldwide, this is a desirable addition to Australian military, Gallipoli and First World War collections.
