2016 0.804oz Silver Gallipoli Landing - Mintage: 5,000

Commemorating the centenary of the historic 1915 Gallipoli landing, this 2015 $10 coloured silver proof coin forms part of the First World War Centenary series.

Issued as legal tender by the Solomon Islands, the coin’s reverse features a poignant coloured scene depicting the ANZAC landing at Gallipoli. The obverse displays Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II alongside the Solomon Islands inscription, $10 denomination and 2015 year-date.

The coin was struck to a quality proof finish from 25 grams of .925 sterling silver, equivalent to a total weight of 0.804 troy oz and approximately 0.744 troy oz of pure silver. It measures 40mm in diameter and was strictly limited to only 5,000 coins worldwide.
