Honour the courage and sacrifice of the Anzacs with the 2011 Gallipoli 1915 Famous Battles in Australian History $1 Silver Proof Coin.
Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver, this Australian legal-tender coin was the first release in the Famous Battles in Australian History series. Its reverse depicts an Australian First World War soldier, or “digger”, against a printed historical image of Anzac Cove. The design also features the inscription “GALLIPOLI 1915” and The Perth Mint’s traditional “P” mintmark.
The obverse carries the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the coin’s $1 denomination.
With a strictly limited worldwide mintage of only 5,000 coins, this silver proof is an outstanding collectable for Australian military-history enthusiasts, Anzac collectors and those completing the Famous Battles series.
Originally issued in official presentation packaging with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Please refer to the product images for the exact condition and inclusions.
