Product description:

Celebrate the wonder of the night sky with the 2009 International Year of Astronomy six coin uncirculated year set from the Royal Australian Mint. This themed release recognises the enjoyment of stargazing and our fascination with the universe.

The set includes the 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2 coins, all dated 2009 in uncirculated finish. Its featured commemorative 20c, designed by Caitlin Goodall, depicts three stargazers observing the night sky. The remaining five denominations retain their standard Australian designs.

With a standard set mintage of 50,957, this release makes an appealing addition to a RAM year set collection or a thoughtful keepsake for an astronomy enthusiast. Originally issued in an illustrated presentation card with an outer sleeve, it pairs Australia’s familiar coinage with a distinctive astronomical theme.
