2007 $1 60th Anniversary Of Australian Peacekeeping Carded Coin - Mintage: 31,028

Product Description

Honour six decades of Australian service with the 2007 $1 60th Anniversary of Australian Peacekeeping Carded Coin. Issued by the Royal Australian Mint, this commemorative release recognises Australia’s contribution to international peacekeeping since its first mission to Indonesia in 1947.

Designed by Caitlin Goodall, the reverse features hands cradling a globe, accompanied by an olive branch and dove. These symbols represent peace, compassion and the commitment of Australians serving communities affected by conflict. The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II’s portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Struck in aluminium bronze to an uncirculated finish, the coin weighs 9 grams and measures 25mm in diameter. Presented in its themed collector card, it makes a meaningful addition to an Australian military, commemorative or $1 coin collection.
