2006 8x Coin UNC 40 Years Decimal Currency RAM Year Set - Mintage: 84,407

Product description:

Mark four decades of Australian decimal currency with the 2006 Eight Coin Uncirculated Year Set from the Royal Australian Mint. This anniversary release brings back the 1c and 2c coins alongside Australia’s six modern circulating denominations, creating an eight-coin collection celebrating our decimal coinage.

The set contains eight 2006-dated coins in uncirculated condition: 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2. The returning 1c features the feathertail glider, while the 2c depicts the frill-necked lizard. All eight coins carry their standard Australian reverse designs and Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.

With a recorded mintage of 84,407 standard sets, this release makes an appealing addition to an Australian decimal year-set collection or a thoughtful gift for someone born in 2006. Originally issued in a Royal Australian Mint presentation card with a protective outer sleeve.
