2002 (1.94oz) Silver Gold Plated Adelaide Pound Proof Coin - Mintage: 10,000

Product Description

Celebrate Australia’s coinage heritage with the 2002 $10 Adelaide Pound 150th Anniversary Silver Proof Coin. Produced by the Royal Australian Mint, this commemorative release marks 150 years since the original 1852 Adelaide Pound.

Struck in 99.9% fine silver with a 24-carat gold-plated centre, this substantial 60.5g coin measures 50mm in diameter. Its design recreates the rare Type I Adelaide Pound, including the distinctive detail of the original cracked die.

The gold-plated centre contrasts beautifully with the surrounding silver, bringing the historic design to life in a proof finish. With a limited mintage of 10,000, this release offers an appealing connection to Australia’s colonial gold rush history.
